Worship is central to the life of First Congregational. In worship we gather to hear God's word proclaimed, to sing the praises of God and to recommit ourselves through the offerings of our life and our labor to the work of God's realm on earth.

We gegin worship with a prelude often played on our wonderful 15 rank Moeller pipe organ. We are led into worship with a full procession, crucifer, acolyte, choir, liturgist and clergy. We value rich expression in our worship elements and the proclamation of the Word of God in preaching, from our Congregational heritage.

Throughout the year we have various special opportunities for worship. This past Advent season we offered a mid-week healing service, a Blue Christimas service and a service in the spirit of Taize with meditative music and prayer by candlelight.

This Lenton season, we are offering a time of weekly prayer and mediataion( Monday Night Meditations).

We also partner with several local churches in two ecumenical services each year - a Thanksgiving service in the fall, and a Good Friday service in the spring.
